Biography

Michanne Hoctor-Thompson received her Doctorate in Educational Technology in 2006 recognizing that there was a need to integrate technology into education. Ms. Hoctor-Thompson has been in the education field for over 25 years and has experience in development and facilitation of on-going training for new teachers, interns and experienced teachers. Currently she is the Educational Technology Coordinator for the San Diego County Office ensuring that the needs are met. When not working hard to advance the integration of technology with best practices, Michanne enjoys the many sites in and around San Diego, including the San Diego Natural History Museum. She also belongs to numerous organizations, both those involved in improving education such as International Reading Association and the International Society of Technical Educators, as well as other non-profit organizations supporting animal welfare, food stability, and immigration reform. In joining the Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni, Michanne hopes to connect with passionate like-minded professionals, and strengthen her network.
