BIOGRAPHY
Captain George Moss has spent much of his adult life aviating the sky. The direction of his career was established once he graduated from Catawba College with a BA in Business Administration in 1964. Upon graduating, Captain Moss was called upon to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He was drafted by the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Officer Candidate. It was during this time that his love of aviation grew. Captain Moss received his wings in 1966 and served as a U.S. Navy Pilot for over 40 years flying internationally and domestically. Five years were in active duty and the majority of the remaining years were spent as a pilot, instructor and Chief Safety Officer in the reserves. Captain Moss served with grace and honor, keeping calm and collected under the most adverse situations. Serving and protecting his country not just with sense of duty but an innate knowledge of doing what was right. While still in the reserves George plied his aviation training to various airline companies working for Eastern Airlines , Northwest Orient Airlines, Kiwi International Airlines, Air South Airlines, Eastwind Airlines. A true adventurer George remained in the Aviation Sector until 2011 and since then has become an avid sailor. He sails and races 15 foot boats, and navigates about 38 sail boats. These days he still flies and consults regarding aviation issues.

Duane Zilm is the proud Alumnus of three Universities. Duane's Bachelors degree was in Electrical Engineering (Power) in 1970 from the University of British Columbia (1st Class). Obtaining the Athlone Fellowship from Great Britain, Duane enrolled in the University of London and studied Biomedical Engineering in the Engineering in Medicine Laboratory at the Imperial College of Science and Technology. Duane received his M.Phil. in 1972 from the University of London for the thesis, "Computer Analysis of the Dynamics of Blood Pressure Control". In 1972, as well, Duane received a Diploma of Imperial College (D.I.C.) for his research in preparation of the completion of his master's degree. Duane then traveled back to Canada in 1972 to begin studies for his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Duane received his Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in 1976 for his research, course work and thesis "The Measurement, Etiology and Treatment of Alcohol Withdrawal Tremor". Along with being a profound pioneer in the engineering department Duane Zilm is a dynamic and successful engineer committed to the highest quality of work with an emphasis on safety, environmental and structural concerns. Although retired now, Duane’s career allowed him to motivate others and aspire to accept design challenges and exceed client expectations. Tom served in the US Coast Guard for over 20 years. During his time in the guard, Tom was the Command Financial Specialist. He was responsible for accounting, book keeping, keeping stock of inventory, and helping other people recover from debt. He served all over the country in places such as Alaska, Oregon, California, and Louisiana. Tom's proudest moment professionally speaking comes from his years in the Coast Guard. He helped 14 individuals grow into higher ranks. Tom was also inspired to go back to school because of his years in the US Coast Guard. Tom gives credit for his experience in the guard as the major contributor to successfully graduating from Upper Iowa University in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration. Tom is currently in graduate school to receive his Master's degree in Sport Administration from Upper Iowa University. Since retiring from the Coast Guard, Tom has been serving as the Masters Swim Coach at the Ochsner Fitness Center in Louisiana. Tom has been swimming since middle school; therefore, he naturally fell into the coaching profession. He coaches both the Master's and Junior's swim team, which consists of children ranging from 6-14 years old. Tom also does individual swim coaching as well. Roberto Rosales Colon is a retired teacher and was an All American Marathon runner for Wichita State in 1973. He is now 75 years old young and still runs regularly. He graduated with his masters from Wichita in 1976 and from McPherson College in 1972. He taught a total of 25 years before he retired. He taught from Kindergarten all the way through college level. He spent his final 14 years teaching college courses and training teachers as bi-lingual educators. Roberto always wanted to teach from as early as he remembers. He wanted to share knowledge with others and especially enjoyed teaching children. He found teaching was his passion. He loves both learning and teaching and is considering completing the PhD he started many years ago at Wichita State in the next few years. Roberto says his key to success is persistence. He said he ran 48 or 49 marathons and only ever quit once. The one-time he quit was the first marathon he ran: The Boston Marathon. He said he tried to "keep up with those guys" in the top of the class of runners not realizing that, although he was good, they were the greats. As a result, his knees gave out at the 26th round. Still, it was a great race to run as it is the race where the first female ran (she snuck in) and he served as one of her shields. Roberto says his greatest achievement (other than being an All American marathon runner) was growing up in Spanish Harlem but never accepting any limits or labels to be placed on him as someone from a so-called ghetto. He vividly recalled telling one of his teachers, as a very young person, "I'm not from the ghetto, I am from New York City. Roberto supports local organizations for children and extremely poor members of his community directly.
