Biography
Captain George Moss has spent much of his adult life aviating the sky. The direction of his career was established once he graduated from Catawba College with a BA in Business Administration in 1964. Upon graduating, Captain Moss was called upon to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He was drafted by the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Officer Candidate. It was during this time that his love of aviation grew. Captain Moss received his wings in 1966 and served as a U.S. Navy Pilot for over 40 years flying internationally and domestically. Five years were in active duty and the majority of the remaining years were spent as a pilot, instructor and Chief Safety Officer in the reserves. Captain Moss served with grace and honor, keeping calm and collected under the most adverse situations. Serving and protecting his country not just with sense of duty but an innate knowledge of doing what was right. While still in the reserves George plied his aviation training to various airline companies working for Eastern Airlines , Northwest Orient Airlines, Kiwi International Airlines, Air South Airlines, Eastwind Airlines. A true adventurer George remained in the Aviation Sector until 2011 and since then has become an avid sailor. He sails and races 15 foot boats, and navigates about 38 sail boats. These days he still flies and consults regarding aviation issues.
