The Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Laura Cánepa, International Affairs, NPL Practitioner, CTC, CTA

Laura Cánepa is a Residency, Relocation, Immigration Advisor and Manager for Mobility LC, an international migration services firm based in Uruguay and offering comprehensive immigration and mobility packages tailored to suit each client’s needs, interests and activities. Laura can provide new and potential residents with the best local contacts, and guide you all the way through the entry and moving process.

After earning her baccalaureate from the Lye Français de Montevideo "Jules Supervielle," Laura was awarded a scholarship by the Rotary International Organization through its Georgia Rotary Student Program to attend a year of studies at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2008 she completed a degree in International Affairs from the Universidad de la República back in her home country. She completed a master’s program in International Commerce from the Instituto Europeo de Posgrado and the Escuela de Negocios de Madrid (IEP). She is a Certified NPL Practitioner by the NPL Institute of Uruguay, a Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) and Certified Travel Associate (CTA).

A versatile and creative employee, Laura launched her career serving the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Uruguay, and spent nearly a decade as an integral part of the Sabre Airline and Travel team. For Sabre, she worked her way up from being a Product support Analyst to the Supervisor of Technical Application Support, overseeing a team of 72 skilled specialists. Prior to creating Mobility LC, she also had experience in the legal sector, and worked as a Residency and Relocation Associate for Fischer & Schickendantz.

Passionate about opening doors and helping others to make a transition in their lives, Laura provides a welcoming presence and highly knowledgeable resource to her clients. She is an expert in the intricacies of relocation, obtaining the ID card and official government documents, work permits, business help in starting or opening a business or franchise in Uruguay, real estate, lawyers and translation services. Her international experience and residencies have helped her to understand what it’s like to be on the other side of the equation, and she works to make the complicated endeavor of moving to a new land as smooth and simple a transition for individuals, businesses and families, as possible.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Laura has volunteered for more than 16 years as for various youth teams, Convencional Nacional and Convencional Departamental of a Uruguayan political party. She resides in Montevideo, Uruguay, and speaks fluent English, Spanish and French, loves traveling, acting, exercising, astrology and astronomy.
