BIOGRAPHY

Malcolm Pollock has been dedicated to his profession since the very young age of 10. He comes from a very musically involved family. One day he decided he would pick up the flute. He couldn't have made a better decision than that. Ever since then, Malcolm has been successful in not only his musical career, but has also helped many other students and people realize their musical talent. In 1977 Malcolm started as a Woodwind Teacher for Manchester City Council. A few years later in 1981, he moved up to the position of the Head of Music at a school in Hertfordshire. One year later, Malcolm then became the Head if Woodwind, Deputy Head of Service, Acting Head of Service for the London Borough of Waltham Forest. Through this time, Malcolm still managed to publish a Flute Tutorial Book called "Abra Cadabra Flute" in 1990. To this day, it is one of the most used flute tutor books around. Passing on the passion of music is very important to Malcolm. Throughout his career he has been involved in many orchestras, classes and programs on a semi professional and professional level. He is in fact a qualified teacher with his post grad. He is responsible for a lot of student’s success in their career and has witnessed them play major orchestral events. There is no doubt that Malcolm has gotten to this point of his career because of his extreme lifelong passion, dedication, care, and desire to share his experience and knowledge.
