Biography

Robert serves on the World of Children Award selection committee. World of Children Award improves the lives of vulnerable children by funding and elevating the most effective changemakers for children worldwide. Since 1998, World of Children Award has invested $8 million in cash grants and program support to more than 100 Honorees who are the driving force behind programs serving children worldwide. Through its Honorees, World of Children estimates that it has touched the lives of 30,000,000 children. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Global Business management from the University of Phoenix. An MBA: Global Studies and Nonprofit management from American Public University System. Is studying International development at Johns Hopkins University: School of Advanced International Service and recently participated in the Preparing Global Leaders Summit at the Russian Presidential Academy. He has received the Presidential Call to Service Lifetime Achievement Award and the University of Phoenix Spirit of Service Award. Robert worked for the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. He specializes in advancing military medical research. He serve military, medical, academic, and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Previously Robert worked with the SOS Children's Villages-USA. He worked in this nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC that raises funds for SOS Children's Villages International. These funds go to over 500 SOS villages in 133 countries around the world to provide permanent, loving homes for orphaned or abandoned children. Each home is part of a village, and each child has a loving mother -- often for the first time in his or her life. Beyond creating and sustaining villages, Robert also supports emergency relief, schools, social programs and medical facilities worldwide. Serve DC – The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism is the District of Columbia Government agency dedicated to promoting service as an innovative, sustainable solution to pressing social challenges. Serve DC engages District communities by building partnerships and organizational capacity, leading local and national service initiatives, and providing and promoting meaningful service opportunities. Serve DC supports communities across the District through federal grant funds from the Corporation for National and Community Service and the US Department of Homeland Security.
