Julia is a dedicated Peer Support Specialist with 10 years of professional experience. She previously was a Nationally Certified American Sign Language Interpreter for 20 years. Her current area of focus is working with persons with mental health challenges to assist them in achieving equal rights, and following their own path to recovery. She is a warm and affectionate person that listens and provides feedback for her clients to help guide them towards wellness. She has helped write and publish a book that shares women's spiritual journeys with all proceeds going towards mentoring and nurturing young women to achieve writing skills Her goals are to help foster change and a growing awareness of the recovery model, health issues and promoting ideological trends within the Behavioral Health field. In her sparetime, she writes poetry, is an active member of her community and sings in her Unitarian Universalist Church Choir.
