BIOGRAPHY
Roy King is a successful IT Architect and consultant with over 25 years of experience in IT, systems analysis, project management, and communications design. His key activities involve looking at tech modeling and capabilities, design architectures and integration. In past roles, Roy has had prominent roles with major companies including 10 years as Managing Consultant with IBM Global Business Services, as Manager at EY, and as Principal Consultant at PwC Consulting. He excels in project management, business analysis, and overseeing the implementation and operation of solutions for business intelligence and master data management. Indeed, Roy has an established track record of successfully running Business Intelligence applications with an international team, overseeing ITIL Processes and process development. He has tremendous international experience and his area of expertise is Enterprise Architecture. Roy graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computing and Mathematical Sciences from Teesside University in 1987. He was originally drawn to this field because of a general interest in computing and the strong programs at Teesside enabled him to develop his natural abilities in that area. In addition, Roy is part of ISACA (formerly Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and is involved in groups for IT Governance. Going forward, he is keen to network, increase his exposure and make quality international contacts in his field. Roy wants to strengthen his enterprise architecture knowledge and emerge as a thought leader in his field throughout Europe. The key to his success is always being true to himself, taking a clear line on things, and not compromising. One of the highlights of his career has been his extensive work on big international projects. When he's not working, Roy enjoys music, photography, and model railways. He also supports Amnesty International.
