BIOGRAPHY

Annie Constantinides is a highly accomplished graduate of McGill University. Presently, she serves as Director of Athletics for the American Community Schools in Athens. She is in charge of all athletic and recreational programs for all students, K through 12, enrolled in the schools as well as the school's summer camp and Theater operations. Annie is a former All-Star professional athlete who played women's basketball on her national team. She worked in several different roles in 3 different International Olympic games as well as two Special Olympics World Summer games. She has been involved with a number of international events at the school, collegiate and professional level. Annie, a former professional athlete, chose her current profession to share her skills and knowledge to help develop the next generation of great athletes. She translated the book, "Authentic Plays in Basketball" from English to Greek, and has authored several articles including "Recruiting Student Athletes Internationally? Try International Secondary Schools - A world of Opportunities brought closer" (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics - Online Journal, April 13, 2015). Annie feels that her greatest professional achievements were her involvement with the Summer Olympic games in 2000, 2004 and 2008 and the "Woman And Sports Achievement Award" given to her by the International Olympic Committee. She says her education at McGill has been her key to success and her years as both a collegiate and professional basketball player. In the future she plans to continue with education / sports management events and hopefully continue networking with universities and be involved with various conferences.
