Biography

Marwan Abi-Chaker has worked as Head of the Fixed Income division of Middle East Capital Group S.A.L. (MECG) member of First National Bank Group, since 2003. As head of the division he works with its private bank, constructs portfolios for clients of the bank, and manages a proprietary book. He is a CTP and IFID Certified Financial Professional. He started his studies in computer science at the Lebanon American University but soon switched to finance, which he loves. His father and brothers are all in finance so it was a bit of a family tradition. His goals in the next few years are to grow with MECG and take on a high level managerial position. He knows that the key to his success was his hard work. His proudest achievement was moving up the ranks of the company quickly and being rewarded by management with greater and greater trust and responsibility. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with Finance emphasis from the Lebanese American University in Byblos, Lebanon and an MBA from the JMSB Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. Marwan looks forward to networking and exchanging with fellow members.
