Biography

Dr Patrick Smythe is the Executive Chairman of Emergence Growth. He has consulted to over 2000 organisations both nationally and internationally. He has published numerous Human Resources, Leadership and Employee Engagement articles for journals, newspapers & HR magazines globally with a combined readership of over three million. (in print and on-line). He has appeared on numerous International radio and TV shows including ZBC, BBC World (Prime time) and NBC. Pat has over 30 years of Executive HR experience, having held executive and non-executive board positions for over 25 years. He has presented at over 160 conferences around the world and specializes in various aspects of HR and Remuneration. He serves on numerous Remuneration Committees and Boards of both Private Sector and Public Sector organisations. Pat has been instrumental in the training and roll-out of HR Standards in Sub-Saharan Africa.
