Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Jose Antonio Canaviri-Zamora, MSc

Jose Antonio Canaviri-Zamora graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Masters in Economics, and also attained a second MSc in Social Policy (Research) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). J. Antonio received a scholarship with London School of Economics (Merit). He is currently working as Monitoring & Evaluation Officer with the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), and he has been with the organization since 2008. His main responsibilities consist of providing professional expertise and assistance in information / data collection, statistics and data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, internal performance tools, preparation of reports, implementing training programs for national and sub national data collection, evaluation and research capacity building to Government.

J. Antonio became an expert in human development and social sciences with special emphasis on children, adolescents and women. He currently attends as a peer-review in Social Indicators Research (Springer), Journal of Happiness Studies (Springer), International Journal of Psychological Studies, and International Journal of Wellbeing. In the next few years J. Antonio seeks to continue to grow and network with other like-minded professionals, sharing different ideas and areas of expertise regarding well-being and human development. He finds helping others to be the most rewarding aspect of his profession.

J. Antonio took on the role of M&E Officer for UNICEF Argentina in November 2016. Previously, he worked as National Officer (M&E) for UNICEF Bolivia, and was also a part-time professor in Bolivia at the School of Business and Foreign Trade. Previous work experience was also focus on children and vulnerable populations. Some of his latest publications include:

Measuring Well-Being in Bolivia: A first approach, published in the International Journal of Wellbeing, 2016, and Child Poverty in Bolivia: Do we have enough evidence?, published in the Correo del Sur Newspaper, Sucre - Bolivia, 2016.

In his spare time he enjoys swimming, spending time with family, reading, and jogging. He resides in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
