Worldwide Association of Notable Alumni Recognizes Larissa Marangoni

Larissa Marangoni is the Executive Director of Aprofe, a healthcare and wellness center that provides clinical obstetric services as well as other care and screening for women. Specializing in cardiology, surgical Obstetrics, Respiratory Therapy and Pediatrics, Aprofe is an organization founded on a mission to inform, guide and educate while providing quality medical services based on the right of all to access sexual and reproductive healthcare. Established by her father more than 52 years ago, Larissa is an expert in project management and brings a wealth and variety of experience to her leadership role. For the organization, Larissa oversees the management of 7 healthcare centers, as well as one clinic with 27 beds and 3 operating rooms.

 In addition to her role with Aprofe, Larissa also served as the Cultural Director of the Ministry of Culture in Ecuador. In this role, she works with government officials to ensure the responsible protection of Ecuador’s rich national cultural heritage, and works to promote cultural expression. Herself a seasoned multidisciplinary artist, she has the keen eye and expertise in both artistic and business endeavors to lead the department and reflect the progress and vastly creative treasures of found in both historical and contemporary Ecuadorian society. www.larissamarangoni.com

 After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sculpture from Bennington College in the United States, Larissa received a scholarship to complete a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture, Sociology and Religion from Syracuse University. She later returned to school to earn a Master in Public Health from the Catholic University of Guayaquil-Ecuador.

 An innovative, creative and passionate thinker, Larissa is well known nationally for her artwork. She combines her executive career with her artistic activities, continuing to produce sculptures that are regularly accepted in private and public spaces. She also serves as an art consultant, and developed the pensum of studies for the University of the Arts in Ecuador.

 A resident of Guayaquil, Ecuador, Larissa speaks fluent English and Spanish, as well as a working proficiency of German. Outside of her professional endeavors, she volunteers in the community, working with the elderly and children at her community center of Aprofe.
